With a pencil draw a centre line down a card (this will be the eventual fold line). Lay the card onto a cutting mat and position the 3D pop up template on to it making sure that the fold line on the template matches up with the pencil line on the card. Secure the temeplate to the card using masking tape. Using a pointed hobby knife cut all the lines in the template and then remove the template. The template indicates where the fold lines need to be scored on the card and it is best if you use a pencil to make the position of them with a tiny stripe to the left and right of where the fold line should be. Score these lines using a ruler and a scoring tool. Now cut through the small linke pieces in the card so that the 3D pop up card can be folded.
